MoPac Trail
Print Design – Signage – Visual Identity – Photography
The MoPac Trail is a 50-mile community trail from Lincoln to Omaha that provides people with a scenic path through the beautiful landscapes of western Nebraska by maintaining the trail and letting the natural wildlife grow around it. The eastern and western portions of the trail are split and maintained by the cities and park agencies. The MoPac Trail wants to create its own identity, materials for the trail, and a twenty-page booklet that informs people about the trail and its history.
The Solution
The MoPac Trail helps people experience the outdoors and the natural beauty of Nebraska, so I used natural colors and images throughout my design to help people envision what the trail is like. I took pictures of the trail and the landscape around it, which are used throughout the materials. Throughout the design, I used a dotted line to represent the trail and to connect the content from piece to piece. In the booklet, it connects each page so someone reading it can follow the line as they flip through the book.
